Why This Bond?
Our Facilities Are Aging
The average age of school buildings across the district is 60+ years, with some serving students for more than a century. Ferry Elementary, the district’s oldest current school building, was originally built in 1928.
This Is the First Step
The bond proposal represents Phase 1 of the district’s long-term vision to ensure facilities and learning environments continue to meet the needs of students today and into the future.

3 Elementary Transformations
Ferry, Peach Plains and Rosy Mound — including A/C, modernized learning spaces, electrical and plumbing upgrades, keyless access, enhanced entry security and gym additions.
5 Safe & Accessible Playgrounds
Updates at Ferry, Lake Hills, Peach Plains, Robinson and Rosy Mound to enhance safety and accessibility.
Transportation Upgrades
Phased replacement of aging buses to improve fleet reliability, reduce service interruptions and enhance safe student transportation.
Music Improvements
New instruments, storage upgrades, and classroom equipment to provide reliable, grade-appropriate instruments throughout the district.
Security & Technology Enhancements
Safety and security upgrades, network improvements, and student and staff devices to support modern teaching and learning.
Community Input & Planning
2,000+ participants were engaged through the Master Plan process beginning in 2024, with input gathered over two years from staff, families, students and community members. The process also considered enrollment trends, facility conditions and educational priorities.
