School Year Open Door is…Open Door is a licensed childcare program designed to meet the needs of all children. Our hours are from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. A large variety of activities are available which appeal to children. It is important to all of us that we meet the needs of different ages, backgrounds, developmental levels and interest. Prime Time is…Prime Time is an extension of our Open Door program and is developed for children 3 years through Kindergarten, with the exception of Central who take 2 ˝ year olds who are not yet potty trained. Early childhood teachers work with the children daily to help them prepare and flow into a school routine. Children of this young age need structure and encouragement. We provide this continuity along with meeting each child’s needs on an individual basis. Children learn and socialize with other children to create a positive feeling about school. Full, Vacation, and Snow Days…During these longer periods of Open Door, special activities are usually scheduled. We have enjoyed bowling, roller-skating, hikes, and tours of local attractions, as well as activities on site to keep your child busy. We make every effort to keep your children occupied in an enjoyable and constructive way. On these special days, Open Door will be at Central School Only! Stay tuned Half Days…During conference days or anytime there is a ˝ day of school for children, our regular Open Door sites will be open. Please bring a sack lunch, as hot lunch is not served on these days. More Information…
