Welcome to the Grand Haven Area Public Schools website. It is with great pride that I share our district website with you! Please take your time learning about the wonderful attributes of our school district and the many opportunities available to students. Our district's vision of "Success for All" is one that we take very seriously and strive for each and every day. Through our website you will be able to learn about individual school building or department activities, read school board agendas and minutes, meet our board of education and staff, follow your middle or high school students progress in school, and much more.

You will also learn of the long-standing tradition of excellence that many of our programs have established. These traditions include both middle school and high school Science Olympiad teams dominating both state and national competitions for over a decade; an arts program that involves literally hundreds of students in our award-winning band, choir, and orchestra programs, along with an outstanding fine arts and theater program; and an athletic program that includes hundreds of students in a wide variety of events and activities that have the benefit of new or improved athletic facilities at the high school and both middle schools. A few of the notable accomplishments include Grand Haven High School (GHHS) awarded the Silver Medal by U.S. News and World Report for being ranked in the top five percent of high schools in the country (top three percent in the state); GHHS ranked one of Newsweek's top high schools in America, as well as being placed on the College Boards Honor Roll for its Advanced Placement programs.

The list of opportunities for students is long, but absolutely necessary, as we strive to help all students find those important connection points to academics and other school activities.

We embrace excellence and work continuously to improve our programs. This success can be verified through our MEAP scores that are consistently well above state and county averages. To achieve this type of on-going success, our work toward continuous improvement never stops. Please take a moment to review our district and building improvement plans to learn what each is targeting for future improvement.

Finally, let us know your thoughts and suggestions of how we can continue to improve this website, as well as our district services. Our board of education and staff welcome your input.

Thank you for visiting our website!
