After School Activities
There are several after school activities available through our recreation department. If interested, pick up flyers in the main office on the following:

-6th, 7th, 8th Grade Wrestling Club - Beginning March 15
-7th and 8th Grade Baseball
-6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Wrestling Club on March 15
-Hip-Hop: The Next Step, next session begins April 20
-8th Grade Girls' Lacrosse League
-Boater Safety held in March and April
-7th and 8th Grade Girls' Softball League
-Middle School Water Polo
-Youth In-Line Hockey league - deadline to register is May 6

Open Gym
There is NO Open Gym this Saturday, March 13. The FINAL Saturday morning Open Gym will be March 20.

Spring Sports News
Soccer - Girls interested in 7th Grade Soccer are asked to sign up in the main office and be sure to take the information sheet home. Sign up before March 19. Practices will begin March 24.
Track and Field - Boys' and Girls' Track and Field will soon be starting. An Athlete/Parent Meeting will be held on Monday, March 22, from 3:00-3:30 in the White Pines Cafeteria. First practice will be Wednesday, March 24 from 3:00 to 4:00. Meet in the White Pines locker room. All athletes must have a physical on file to participate.

Used Book Sale
A used Book Sale will take place next week during all scheduled conference times in the White Pines Media Center. Bring your loose change and pick up some great bargains. In addition to a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books, there will also be book sets for sale for $5.00 per set. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to visit the Media Center.

Middle School Art Show
The Middle School Art Show begins March 2 at the Community Center and runs through March 12.

Yellow Brick Road for incoming 5th Graders
April 28 - Peach Plains
April 29 - Griffin and Lake Hills
April 30 - Ferry

Want to Learn Sign Language?
There is still time to sign up in the Main Office for the Sign Language Class on Wednesdays, March 17-April 28 from 3:00-4:00 in the Media Center. The cost is $15.00 which includes a book and materials.

High School Weight Room
The weight room at the high school is now open to middle school students on the following days:
Monday thorough Thursday 3:00 - 4:30
Friday 3:00 - 4:00
Take Bus 51 over to the high school. Jim O'Neil, the trainer will be there to help.

Yearbook Pictures
Do your parents take pictures at your sporting events? Do you have any pictures from the Buc Blaster or field trips??? I f so, please submit them to Mrs. Koester and the yearbook staff in Room 607. Keep snapping pictures and turn them in all year!
