Back to School shopping can be a confusing time with all of the advertisements in the stores telling you what “first graders need.” To make it easier for you we have included a list of the supplies that
your child will need in first grade. Here is a list of items to send on “Back-To-School Night” or the first day of school:

• Backpack or school bag big enough for a folder, books, lunch, etc.
• One fat black EXPO dry-erase marker
• 24-count box of CRAYOLA crayons
• Fat CRAYOLA markers (10-pack)
• 3 Extra Large (jumbo) Elmer’s Purple glue sticks
• 2 spiral notebooks
• 2 one-inch binders
• Earbuds or Headphones for iPad (with a straight jack please!)

Back to School shopping can be a confusing time with all of the advertisements in the stores telling you what “second graders need.” To make it easier for you…we have ALL of the supplies that your child will need in second grade, though he/she may also bring “their own” items.

Second-Grade Families: 

Here is a list of the items that your new second-grade child will need for next year! We are so excited to have you in our classes!!

•  Griffin 2nd Grade Supplies:
•  Backpack
•  Headphones (straight jack)
•  1 standard-size pencil box
•  24-count CRAYOLA crayons
•  1 pack of skinny and/or markers
•  Box of colored pencils
•  2 Large (jumbo) glue sticks
•  A pack of pencils to share
•  2 packs of black EXPO markers to share
•  1 pack of jumbo size (2 ½ gal) Ziploc bags to share for go-home bags
•  1 pack of gallon-size Ziploc bags to share for backpack books and other projects

Other items our classrooms always need are: kleenex, baby wipes, sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer 

If you are unable to bring these items, please let us know.

So that you can shop at your convenience, the 3rd-grade teachers at Griffin would like you to have this recommended supplies list. If you chose to purchase these items for your child, please send them in on the first day of school.

Required Personal Supplies:

• 1 Durable, take-home pocket folder-any design
• 1 Pencil/zipper bag (soft-sided)
• 1 pair of scissors
• 4 two picket folders – yellow, blue, green, red
• 4 composition books (tape bound, lined)
• 1 pair of headphones or earbuds for Chromebook use
• Many sharpened pencils
• Colored pencils or crayons
• 2 or more erasers
• 1 handheld, pencil sharpener that holds the shavings

Required Classroom Supplies:

• 2 packs of Post-it notes (square size)
• 2 large glue sticks (no bottle glue)
• 2 expo black dry-erase markers
• 1 box Kleenex

Classroom Donations are Always Welcome:
