Kindergarten & Duneside Discovery Center: Thursday, August 27, 2026 (full-day) – Friday, June 11, 2027 (half-day)
2026–2027 Calendar Highlights
- This year, school will begin prior to Labor Day
- Early Dismissal Wednesdays continue (60 minutes early)
- Fall Break: Friday, October 30, 2026 – Monday, November 2, 2026
- Winter Break: Monday, December 21, 2026 – Friday, January 1, 2027
- Mid-Winter Break: Friday, February 19, 2027 – Monday, February 22, 2027
- Spring Break: Friday, April 2, 2027 – Friday, April 9, 2027
A Note About the Start of the School Year
In recent years, GHAPS has begun the school year after Labor Day. However, for the 2026–2027 school year, a post-holiday start would have resulted in a mid-June end to the school year, creating challenges for summer camps and other programs. Beginning the school year prior to Labor Day this year helps preserve planned breaks and professional learning days while keeping the school year on a more traditional schedule.
