2025 Master Plan

During its regular meeting on Monday, July 21, 2025, the GHAPS Board of Education was presented with a series of early-stage master plan concepts aimed at aligning the district’s physical spaces with the long-term goals outlined in its Strategic Plan. Three original concepts were presented as conversation starters for the board and the community.

However, based on community input and survey responses, we have revised the focus of our survey to focus on the different components within each concept. We have also added an additional concept that came out of some of the community input we’ve received in the early weeks. Each potential option is rooted in our Strategic Plan, and none of them are final.

The concepts presented explore different ways the district might improve or reconfigure its facilities in response to shifting enrollment, aging infrastructure, and evolving student needs.

Each is grounded in the three key themes outlined in our Strategic Plan:

  1. Rigorous, Relevant, & Engaging Learning
  2. Financial Responsibility & Sustainability
  3. Communication, Transparency, & Trust.

While our Strategic Plan lays out a clear vision for innovation, excellence, and engagement, the Master Plan asks what kind of learning environments we need to bring that vision to life. This is about preparing our district to meet the future—together.

  • Strategic Plan: Defines the district’s educational goals and priorities, focusing on student success through innovation and academic achievement.

  • Master Plan: Turns those goals into action, focusing on the physical environment, safety, capacity, and infrastructure needed to support modern learning.

  • Both are aligned and interconnected to ensure GHAPS is prepared to meet the evolving needs of students and the community.

Providing Feedback

Over the coming weeks and months, GHAPS will be gathering feedback from staff, families, and community members through a series of engagement events and other input opportunities. These conversations will help shape a proposed direction to be brought back to the Board of Education for consideration. There are several ways you can share your thoughts, questions, and feedback on these concepts:

Take the Survey

Thanks to the feedback we received from our initial survey and other community engagement events, we were able to narrow the scope for an updated survey that focuses on key components from each initial planning concept. This updated survey also includes some new concepts based on the input we've received so far.
