Grand Haven Area Public Schools (GHAPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Stolarz as the new Principal of Griffin Elementary School following an extensive interview process that included both internal and external candidates.

A lifelong Buccaneer, Brooke has been part of the GHAPS community since kindergarten. She began her teaching career with the district in 2013 and has spent the past ten years as a third-grade teacher at Lake Hills Elementary. In addition to her classroom experience, Brooke has demonstrated strong leadership within the district, serving as both an interim principal and the K-4 Summer School Director.

“Brooke brings a unique combination of deep roots in our community and proven leadership experience,” said GHAPS Superintendent Kristin Perkowski. “Her commitment to student success and her ability to build strong relationships will make her an outstanding leader for Griffin Elementary.”

With the start of the school year quickly approaching, Stolarz shared that she is excited to jump in and begin connecting with staff and families. She will be available to meet with families during the school’s upcoming open house on Wednesday, August 27.
