SALVATION ARMY BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT
Join us for our Back-to-School event with the Salvation Army on Wednesday, August 20, from 4 PM - 6 PM!
In collaboration with the Grand Haven Salvation Army, the United Way, and other community sponsors, we are excited to offer a Back to School celebration event, complete with FREE BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES for children.
- When: Wednesday, August 20th, from 4-6 PM
- Where: Salvation Army Community Center on 310 N. Despelder St.
In addition to backpacks and school supplies, we will have community resource info, tables of gently used FREE CLOTHING, games, and refreshments!
Please sign up using this form to help us ensure we have the needed supplies and backpacks ready for your children at the right age level.
Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult. However, the person who completes the registration does not need to be the adult who attends in order to receive the backpacks and supplies!

MAKE A DONATION
Help set students up for success by ensuring all GHAPS students have access to school supplies for the 25-26 school year!
Grand Haven Area Public Schools will be collecting donations of school supplies between now and the first week of school. Thanks to our outstanding community partnerships, many of our elementary needs are being met. However, the following items are in high demand to support our intermediate and middle school learners:
- Composition notebooks
- Sticky notes
- Dry erase markers
- highlighters
Donations can be dropped off at the Education Service Center, located at 1415 Beechtree St. in Grand Haven.
