In Racheal Rickabaugh’s 2nd-grade classroom at Ferry Elementary, a math lesson on number lines turned into a full-body learning experience. Students practiced making “jumps” on a number line, then translated those jumps into real long jumps across the room, all while trying to reach a target number in as few jumps as possible.
