Taylor Trojan from Lake Hills Elementary recently concluded a reading unit on Supertasters with a fun, hands-on activity for her third graders.
Here’s what a colleague shared:
“She encouraged her students to taste cookies with surprise fillings after completing the unit. Students didn’t just rate the cookies by taste — they understood how their tongues and brains were working together, and even used fractions to communicate about their experiences. What might have looked like a few minutes of fun to someone passing by was really a teacher providing a Gold Standard Moment during a closure activity.”
