CHILL Program
What is the Community CHILL Program?
This program provides a supervised location for students to complete assignments, catch up on past-due work, study for tests, and receive extra help. Community CHILL staff communicate with teachers so we are all working toward the same goals with students. Kids are rewarded for good behavior, grades, and work completion.
The Community CHILL program is available to any 5th- 8th grade student attending White Pines or Lakeshore Middle Schools. If you are interested in having your son or daughter attend, please fill out an application and return it to your student’s homeroom or Connections teacher.
Time & Location
The CHILL program is located at Grand Haven High School. Both Lakeshore and White Pines students will be bussed to the high school on a GHAPS bus.
CHILL days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays of each week. Lakeshore students will need to be picked up at 4:00 in the bus loop, and White Pines students will need to be picked up at 5:00 in the bus loop.
Who is involved in this program?
The CHILL staff includes employees of the Grand Haven Area Public Schools District. We are also supported by high school students in the National Honor Society and the Interact Program who want to be mentors. These students volunteer their time to support CHILL students.
